5. Artist Statement
“In creating this exhibition, I want to be famous, plain and simple. While I do all kinds of non-abstract works, women have a voice in what I create. Maybe it’s because my mother left me from day one, and I had to be put up for adoption, or, when my adopted sister left me when she died at six, and I was 8, or when my adopted mother left me, when she put me out the house at 14, or anytime I come to jail, all my girlfriends have left me, I must have serious female abandonment issues. But that’s not my whole story, I simply like feminine energy, in song, fashion, and in looks. Remember, I wrote the short story God is a Woman.”
